Time Management Positive Discipline

Time management schemes require us to focus on positive discipline throughout the process of planning, acting, and achieving. A positive approach to success is to understand that today’s society is based on responsibility, sharing responsibility, as well as cooperation and the willingness to progress. No solution is precise, but when we find what works for us, and adhere to the basic rules, we are well on our way to success and achieving our goals. One of the major problems with our younger generation is that when they grew up the focus of responsibility, motivation, and survival was not stressed enough. In today’s world women and men, both have to work to survive, and many families struggle to raise the children that are sitting at home on video games, or watching television. Where is the responsibility? Therefore, in order to understand effective time management skills, we have to relearn what we may have not been taught. Life is full of stressors and if we do not have positive discipline to survive, we are often in more trouble than we realize. Goals and plans is what make a person strive to achieve, and if we do not have our goals and plans in perspective, it is most likely we are going to tire out or fail. To develop a sense of responsibility we must have the make-up cultivated within us to survive. The traits to achieve a level of responsibility are self-respect, compassion, respect, and determination. When teachers and parents that are controlling our lives and not offer us the ability to function in society raise us, we are loosing respect, and building criticism, neglect of responsibility, and negative thinking. Not all of us were raised in a home where both parents worked and neglect of teaching was happening, but for the many of us that were, we know it is a struggle to manage time and reach success.

Positive discipline then is the process of admitting you are human, equal to others, and make mistakes. When you make a mistake with planning your time management scheme, do not get discouraged, rather learn from your mistake and find a better solution than the original plan. This is one form of positive discipline. Another idea is to avoid negative thinking of criticizing yourself when your plans fail. Everyone at one time failed with his or her plans, and sometimes it your fault, while other times it is not. Be sure to analyze what occurred and divert the plan so your time management scheme is flowing smoothly again. Think positive. “Wow, this was not a good idea, and I made a mistake, but I know there is a solution to this problem.” If you think about this, you are accepting responsibility for the mistake, but positively thinking that it is a step back in your plan, and there is a solution to the problem. Most problems do have solutions, but there comes a time when there are no solutions available when plans fail. One example of a problem area that we can evaluate and see there is a solution in one direction, yet no solution in the other direction. We can look carefully at this disaster and see that if we had diverted a plan accordingly, this disaster would have not been unfixable. Ok, you go to your office and fire up the computer. Everything seems to be working fine. You begin to work through your list of tasks, since you did take the time out to include lists in your time management scheme. Suddenly, the computer fails. The screen starts flashing and all you see is DOS telling you a fatal error have occurred Windows is outdated. Ok, now you are in trouble, you failed to put backup data in your time management scheme, and all the valuable information that supports you company is on that computer. The worst thing possible occurs. You take your computer to the Tech and he or she tells you, you have to reformat the hard drive and we cannot recover your data. This is one example of a disaster that has no solution. All you can do at this point is restore your computers hard drive, or buy another computer. Your data is gone forever. Now if you had included backup in your time management scheme, the solutions available would have saved you time and big money.

Sloppy Time Management Destroys

One of the best methods for developing planning and organizing skills is learning from your mistakes. If you are constantly making the same mistake, then you are in a world of trouble, since time management is essential for success. When you think of planning, you should carefully weigh out the process since this is what makes the plan go into action. The process of planning details the essential elements required to reach a goal specific. While no plan is bullet proof, a good plan is possible. We can start by understanding time management and how essential it is to a productive outcome. Time is the element of all tasks, activities, responsibilities, and so on. When we waste time, or we are sloppy with our time, our time management schemes often are destroyed. Unless you know something, I do not know it is time to learn some skills and put those skills to use.

Sloppy time management leads to destruction. When we hear of divorces that are direct results of lack of quality time spent together, it is because the family did not set up a time plan scheme. If the families had invested some of their time, spending it together, the rate of divorces would have dropped a percent. Likewise, when we hear of a business closing the doors, it is often because a time management scheme was not developed, or developed properly. One of the best solutions for creating a time management scheme is by training your mind to put into practice organizing skills, and learning from your achievements, analyzing ways to improve what you have already achieved. Staying focused on your plans will also help you to move the smaller obstacles from your path rather quickly, and kick the bigger obstacles in the rear when you are finished. Staying focus means you plan and move in motion with the plan, staying on the same path as you move along. If you loose direction during your course, (if you are focused) you will notice the mistakes immediately and run back to your main course. This is quality steps in managing time. It is always wise to keep it simple while you are moving forward. When a problem area arises, be sure to take care of it immediately. When you remove problems or deal with them as they arise, you are moving the bigger obstacles out of your path to managing your time wisely. Time is essential, and as the days progress, time is moving faster than ever. With technology development, we are now on our way to a faster way of producing results. When we analyze today’s developments we can see that it is important for us to keep up with the times so that failure does not plague our way. Learning then is the key ingredient of sparing your time, and dealing with disaster. When you are learning, and practicing what you learned, your sloppy habits will result in success. Don’t be a slob, manage time wisely!

Strategies to Time Management

Strategy is a planning ahead to achieve a specific goal. Some of us plan a time management scheme for one or two years, while others plan five or ten years. In college, we were taught to manage our time according to long-term and short-term goals. The short-term goals are five years, so in this article we are going with the college teachings that were provided to me. I personally do not believe that anyone has the authority to plan, since tomorrow has no guarantees, but stepping aside from my beliefs, I noticed that when I do plan, organize and strive to manage my time, I find life is easier. At the same time, I watched as my plans fell apart at the seams, so today we are going to plan a strategy and add a backup plan.

Backup Time Management Plan

Ok, we have the plan laid out, and we do not see any future complications. We show up at work as usually and follow our list we have written to instruct us which task is most important to achieve first to reach our goals. Things are running smoothly! In the next half hour, the boss runs up and tells everyone go home, there is a horrible storm about the hit. The next day you come to work and find the company in chaos. What are you going to do? Do you have a backup plan? After you lay out your plans to manage your time, your next step is to layout a backup plan that supports your original strategic planning. Today many companies store their important documents on computers. This is fine as long as you have the files labeled accordingly. Some companies even back up their files to a storage medium, either in another computer on site, or else on discs or tapes. The tapes sometimes are stored in an off room on the premises. Bad deal! When that building is hit by a fatal storm, causing disaster what are the chances of those vital files surviving. The key then to strategizing to manage time is to send those documents to a storage medium off the premises and at least 50 to 100 miles away from the area. I studied backup, I do backup, and I backup, and know that the importance of backup data is VITAL to managing time. If you have a smaller company there are disaster backup plans that can meet your needs, but be alert that some of these disaster backup plans are ‘low end’ plans. The programs are for those of us with a single or a couple of computers, rather those large companies that often have a mainframe computer as the central communicator. The source provides a minimal source for storing checklists as well as storing company information. But again, if you do not have your data stored off the premises your backup time management plan is in trouble. While there are many solutions or methods for strategizing a time management scheme, no scheme is bullet proof unless your plans are backed up!

Time Management Working aSucceed

Time management is the process of working to succeed. When we are working to succeed, we are reaching our goals. Sometimes it is difficult when time are constantly changing and problems get in our way, so it is important to decide which plan works for you as well as understanding that life has its ups and downs. When we are planning to reach goals, we have sit down and really ponder on what is needed to reach this goal or set of goals. Some of us prefer to set short-term goals, reach that goal and then go for a long-term goal. Most of us prefer to set short and long-term goals in the same time management scheme in an effort to reach both goals accordingly. This is always wise, since you do not want to start over with another time management scheme once you reach your short-term goal. One of the best tools provided to me in time management or rather business planning, was role-playing. When we are setting goals for our self and searching for a solution to make the goal work, it often helps to play out the parts as you come to a decision. If you see this works, then it is obviously part of the solution required to reach your goals. However, if you see that there are issues, then you need to re-evaluate to find a solution that is more fitting. Time management is essential, since it demands the person (s) to plan, act on those plans, and stay focused on those goals with motivation in play. You must also keep reality in view, since if you neglect the realness of the world, you will not be prepared when things go wrong.

Disasters such as storms, computer failures, family illness, personal sickness, and so on can happen any time. There is no sense in believing that you are absent from reality. It is always wise to include elements of your time management scheme in accordance with disaster, by thinking critical on the different issues that may arise. For example, if you plan a solution ahead of a computer failure, you will have the tools to continue working while your issue is addressed. Time solution is more than just planning then, it is a solution for planning here, now, and then. When you begin your planning, you should start by analyzing now. Now is in the present and you can see the elements that are needed to achieve your goals? If you know you need a computer to start a business in the next five-years, you should begin setting up a budget for the computer in demand. It is always wise when setting up budgets to open savings or money market accounts that does not take money from you, rather increases your savings by offering a nice interest on your savings. This can help you to reach the goal sooner. Computers are relatively cheaper nowadays, so you will not have to put much focus on this area, unless you intend to purchase a mainframe coupled with another system. Mainframes are expensive pieces of equipment. Next, you can search to find out more information about what is needed to start up a new business. It depends on the type of business you are achieving to reach, but most require desks, computers, pens, paper, cabinets, chairs, and so on. Be sure you add these expenses to your budgeting account. You may also want to include other essentials for starting a business, such as insurance policies, health insurance, and disaster recovery coverage and so on. Open separate accounts for your current financial obligations so that your savings will accumulate and your savings will not be affected. Try to avoid purchasing something that is not needed throughout the course of your time management planning, since this can only delay your progress. If you intend to open a business in five or ten years, make sure you keep this in sight while you work to the main goal laid out in your time management scheme. Time management is working to succeed. If you want to succeed then you must work hard every day to meet your goals.

Positions in Time Management

What are our positions in time management? Time management is the process of planning to reach a goal, and finding a solution that helps us to reach that goal. This article should be relatively short, since the words above should be more than obvious. YOU are the main position in time management. However, we must consider all positions in time management to construct a plan that works best for you. Every one of us has a deadline to meet a specific task (s). Your position then is to get those tasks finished, bring in you one-step closer to your goal. If you are wasting time sifting through papers, or daydreaming, you are wasting energy, money and time that could be spent in your time management plan to achieve your goal. After carefully study clutter, I estimated it takes around 10-15 minutes to clean up the desk, while it takes about 30 minutes to find papers that are important to achieving goals. Sloppiness is a sign of irresponsibility, and it only wastes time, promotes negative thinking, and costs money. If you work at a desk, and most of your tasks are handled on a computer, then it takes a few minutes to backup your data and store it in a safe place. It takes years to recover what you have not backed up. In addition, if you are labeling your files accurately it takes less time to find a file in demand, and takes longer to find the file that was incorrectly labeled.
Are you spending quality time with your family, or is your time idling? One hour of your time each day can save you money and time. If you are not spending quality time with your family, factor in the expense of divorce, heartaches, time, and other elements when those days comes and deduct the loss in your time management scheme. In some cases, you can calculate the expenses of court costs when your children decide dad or mom is not enough, and they need attention lacking so they get major attention after committing a crime. Let reality sink in when you are diverting a plan to manage your time, reaching your goal. There are many positions in managing time, but for the most part your effort is the position that requires consistency.
School is important and a vital requirement to managing time, since it is a resource to reaching goals. When you are at school your position in this time management scheme is to DO your homework on time and study accordingly. If you are daydreaming in class, remember it is a dream toward a past that was never achieved to reach the dream. If you are procrastinating, your position is lost. Procrastination is the process of intentionally and habitually putting off responsibilities, and when we put off responsibilities our position in achieving those goals is sitting in a seat in someone else’s pocket. In addition if you are not studying to meet grades that are required in achievement, then you are saying to yourself and everyone around you that, “My position in life is to do what I can, and ignore what I want to do.” The positions in planning to achieve a goal are requiring that you act out your plans putting strong emphasis on laboring to reach your goal. It requires the ability to manage your time while staying organized. If you are waiting for your goals to fall in your lap, remember your ship rolled in when you was out in the middle of the ocean. It takes work, effort, responsibility, motivation, and careful planning to save time and make money to reach a goal. If you do not have all these qualities then your position in life are to wait for someone else to reach your goal while you sit back wondering what happened. Your position if well thought out in your time management scheme can bring forth short-term rewards, such as motivation to achieve, great self-esteem, self-confidence, and so on. Holding your position in your time management scheme may even bring your goal closer than expected if you apply the actions that are needed in managing time.
