Control is the power to manage. When we have control of our lives and self, we have the ability to manage anything that involves our self. Of course, no one has entire control over anything, but we all have a degree of control over most things that involve us. We must remember that all things in life affect us in some sort of way, and when we are strategizing a time management scheme, we need to factor in all details of life. You might think that time management is a quick process, but when you sit down and start your calculations, you will soon learn that the process takes time to complete. Team effort is great, but if you are in time management alone for yourself, then the road can be rockier. Now you know why man came up with the idea of Stop, Yield and Go lights. Time management has its own stop, go, and yield signs. In order to start a time management plan you need to calculate and analyze your plan carefully to weed out flaws, evaluating where your time is spent.
Once you start your calculations you will see that time is an equal and subtract strategy. If you went to school wondering why they taught math, you will soon learn why since math is not only consisting of numbers, but it is consisting of calculations that lead to success. In order to add and subtract time, you must first calculate time with family, friends, work, self, and so on. You must also calculate ‘problem areas’ that may occur. For example, is your computer going to work continuously without problems? NO! Therefore, you need to calculate large and small disasters into the equation of time management. This is the beginning process of controlling time management, but it is nowhere near the full details of completing the process. The fact is there is no end to managing time as we all have areas that need thorough research to bring us to the point of perfection. When we calculate time management, we must include details such as, entertainment, lounging, relaxing, meals, dressing, and everything that makes us who we are. If you are spending too much time in one area, you can cut back time by spending more time in important areas. For example, if it takes you 45 minutes in the morning to get motivated, it is most likely a result of procrastination and lack of preparation. Now, to cut back time you will need to think! Thinking is the process of bringing forth results either negative or positively. Why is it taking me 45 minutes to get dressed in the morning? Are you searching through your closet trying to find a suit that works for your atmosphere? The solution then is taking a few minutes each night to pick your attire fore the next day, so that when you get up in the morning you only need to dress. The fact is, any person can get up in the morning, put on make-up, clothes, and even style their hair in less than 45 minutes. Even models, actors, and actresses are limited to how much time they spend on dressing. If you think about it, when women go on stage for a beauty pageant, they are limited in how much time they spend on getting ready for the show. The producers or directors invested some of their time to make sure that their time management scheme was running smoothly, by controlling what their actors were doing with their time. When I modeled lingerie, I had five minutes most time to do my hair, make-up, and dress. Therefore, if you are spending 45 minutes dressing, there is no logical explanation needed, you are slacking. Now we can subtract at least 30 minutes from dressing and move forward to other areas in our life where our time is either spent well, or wasted.
What are you doing at work? Are you standing around drinking a cup of coffee chatting online, with a co-worker, or on the phone? If you are, you are not only wasting company time, you are wasting your time. Time management includes you. Unless you don’t have a goal in mind, this is not a controlling method in time management.

Intentional Time Management Solution

To be successful in life we must have an intentional time management solution. Intentional is an active force in motion created from premeditation. This means we must practice helpful behaviors, actions, thinking and habits to make our time valuable. Life is filled with vicissitudes and if you do not have time management in order you are sure to go down. We can’t change the things that we hear on the news in one day, but we can make changes to the news in our future. One of the best solutions for learning intentional time management solutions is taking time out for pleasurable pursuits. If we take time out for our selves, it gives a source of relief and brings us to a productive moment when we are at work. If you are pessimistic, you might want to change your views by practicing rational-emotive imagery, which promotes rational thinking capabilities leading to success. The process includes imagining colorfully depictions of intricate events and following up by thinking lucid thoughts in relation to the difficulties, you are facing. If you are a positive thinker, it never hurts to practice this technique also, since life can bring us down at any moment. If you are afraid of challenges then you might want to practice Behavioral rehearsals, which is the process of practicing things that make you afraid due to lack of skills or education. If you are at work try something new in your job place that sets a challenge for you and work hard to achieve the task. This will help you to overcome obstacles and when your time management scheme fails, you will be ready to deal with it positively. Resistance is one of the leading stumps in many people’s life that contributes to failure in success. If you have a fear ingrained in your mind, it is likely to reveal itself later in your life. Fear is the roots of failure in the sense many of us do not take the time to find out which fears are healthy and which are not healthy.
If we are afraid to take chances in life, it is often because we are afraid of change. Change is good. Change shows us that success is in motion. Some changes are bad, but for the most part, we can’t avoid change. As professional business people, we often have a great reasonability and are often confronted with a variety of demands. We are often required to analyze, evaluate, and think critically to put a plan in motion. Often we work with other people, which mean changes are going to happen. Staying focused can help us to increase the business profits as well as help us to achieve our goal and maintain a sturdy time management scheme. Our skills require us to commit to hard work. Time management is a critical part of everyday life, and wasting time on negative thinking is not a solution for intentional time management.
In most cases, people base their ideas and thoughts on assumption, believing that something is going to happen and in most cases, it never does. The first thing I do when times are rough is wake up in the morning repeating to myself that today is going to positive. I practice this way of thinking as much as possible and in most cases when I say this to myself, something good comes my way. I know that my positive words and thinking did not bring forth these results; rather it was the efforts and motivation that brought good in to my life. I took a step somewhere in this equation to get the results that were brought to me. Therefore, if you want to lay out an intentional time management plan you need to put the ball in motion by acting on your plans. You must also learn a positive way of handling your daily tasks. Do not think of work as a “thing to do” rather think of work as one-step closer to you goal. If you do not like you job, find a solution. Either you live with it, or you find something better. There is always a solution to any problem.

Time Management for College Students’

Many college students struggle in classes, since often they do not have a time management scheme that allows them flexibility. Currently I am enrolled in college, running a small business, and mothering a child, while tolerating an annoying roommate. Let me tell you, time is of essentiality. Like my self, so many college students are toggling between demands. We often do not have time for our selves, much less family and friends. When our days are cramped this brings on stress, which affects the body and mind immensely. Once our body and mind is stressed and affected by the stress, we often suffer and lack the ability to seek our goals. Our communication skills are affected, as well as our social skills. This all leads to a waste of time, and money since we are not achieving what we set out to do in the first place. College tuitions are not cheap, and if we commit our selves to college we had better be prepared to carrying out the demands placed on us, otherwise money and time is lost. College not only requires you to get up in the morning and meet class schedules, it also requires you meet your tuition payments, as well as the expectations your instructors place on you. The common student often attends full-time courses in an effort to achieve a long-term goal quickly. This is great if you have the time. Before you enter the college door, you should decide what your schedule requires of you. If you have a part-time or full-time job, then time management changes in both directions, since part-time requires less time. For example, if you have a part-time job you want to lay out a plan that fits your schedule, which include applying for classes that work around your job commitment. If you have a full-time job and thinking about college, you might be wise to take online courses instead of attending classes at a facility, since online provides a source of flexibility. Online colleges are similar, with exceptions that you do not get up early and drive to school. If you find the right college your books are sent to your door, and you meet every week once or twice to listen to an instructor online. Some of the colleges online have a Cyber Library that matches the major you are trying to achieve which provides an extra convenience. The majority of Universities or Community Colleges realize that people have to work to survive, so they try to schedule classes that meet everyone’s needs. However, it is very difficult since there are more people in class than there are administrators and advisors in office. This is were you come in to the picture, since the professionals at college need your help to plan your schedule? When everyone is working together, time management works smoothly, since other people are also included in the goals you are obtaining. For example, if you are working for a company and they are paying you, this money is used to pay for your goal often. Therefore, you need each other to lay a foundation for success.

Scheduling your Time

If you know, what your schedule is before you apply for courses it helps to manage time, and save money in the end.
Once you have worked out a schedule that works with your classes, next you want to make sure you do not run into cramming and stress. Knock them both out by completing your homework assignments on time and setting aside time for studies. Once you have completed your assignments and study, you will find that you have more time to spend on other demands or responsibilities. Be sure to calculate family, friends, and your self and other details in to the equation while making any decision to commit your self to your goals. The most rewarding commodity in life is knowing that you managed your time well. Time managing well planned will reveal itself when you reach your goals limits. The key reaching any goal is putting forth the effort to achieve the goal. Finally, a helpful tip: if you listen to the instructors and read the material, you will find short cuts that will help you along the path to success.

The advantages of time management include reducing stress, gaining time, reducing avoidance, while promoting reviews and eliminating cramming. Another advantage is that managing time helps us to stay motivated while we avoid procrastination. The trick to successful time management is setting up goals that work, while having an awareness of those goals and prioritizing your list of goals. When you set up an effective time management plan, you are growing and upholding a personal commitment to yourself, with the ability to be more flexible. When you have a great time management plan, you are giving yourself an individual chance to, to generate a timetable that works to suit your busy caseload. When you create a good plan, you will soon find time to do all the things that matter most to you in life. In addition, when you have a good time management plan, you are saving your health.

Plans have a schedule timed, which includes all the activities you are responsible to handle. Your Master Timetable should include all the most important activities you are responsible to handle. It is important that you modify this schedule according to your time changes. When you set up a Master Timetable, you will need to list the priorities first, and work your way down to the least important tasks. It is important that you follow as you write the tasks first listed. In other words, if you state on your Master Timetable that you need to write up some documents for your business, then do this task first and proceed to the next task. Try to avoid handling multitasking at once, unless it is your job and you are sufficient, and have laid out a time management plan. You will also need to include meals, sleep, family, friends, yourself, and other tasks if you they are a part of your time management. By setting up a Master Timetable, you can work out your time scheme by working through the list on the time chart. Try to avoid skipping a scheduled task, or procrastinating, since this will only delay your plan. It is important to keep in mind, that time is essential. When we waste time, we are wasting money. After you have laid out a suitable Schedule Timetable, you will soon learn that your motivation has increased, while your progress is moving ahead. In addition, you will soon find that your stress level is at a normal state. When you are not focused, or do not have a time management plan, you are only hurting yourself in the long run. Most people without a time management plan often suffer with poor health, insomnia, and other discomforting issues. Some people even find themselves in court waiting for the judge to say “You are now divorced.” So you can see that time management is important since it affects everyone around you, but most of all, it affects you.
A final tip: Exercise and eating right plays an essential role to time management, since when you feel good, you work well under a management plan.
