Technology Advancement Changes Time Management Schemes

Where has the time gone? In today’s world, the time is moving fast, making it more important for anyone to manage his or her time wisely. The world focuses more on money than time when they are laying out a plan to manage their time. This is the process of making mistakes. Time is more critical as the day’s progress. Technology has advanced so tremendously that everyday we are learning new information. Time is the most essential element to productivity. When we manage our time wisely, the rest will fall into place. Time management schemes start with goals. When we set goals for our self, we often have to divert a plan to work toward the goals. Our plans should work in harmony with our goal, since plans are important in the process of achieving. Planning is the process of elimination in the sense we create a list of tasks that we must achieve to reach our goals. Each day we refer to our list to see what our demands are for the day. When we finish our list of tasks, and have time left, we might want to work on the follow day tasks, since this cuts back time. If you follow this procedure, you might find your boss saying, take some time off (with pay) since you did a great job. Likewise, if you are attending college classes, or even school, you might want to work hard each day to accomplish your assignments. When you go home, you will notice you have time to do what you planned for the week. Procrastination is the leading cause for stress and cramming. If you are putting off assignment or responsibilities, you are lacking in commitment, which affects your time. If you are investing time in cramming and stressed as a result of procrastination you are causing your mind and body harm. When the body and mind is not functioning right, most of your time is wasted. Time management is essential to make any plan fall into place and any goal come alive. If you have a problem with setting goals, you might want to remember that goals are the terminal point of any race. This might help you sense the concept of competition comes into focus and most humans strive to become better, and often better than the next person…it is called winning the race. If you have a competitive attitude this is the best solution for setting up a time management scheme. Otherwise, if you are accomplishing your goals you can set your mind to ‘dream mode’ which means you have a strong desire to reach a goal. You have purpose! Everyone needs purpose in life and when we loose sight of our purposes our time management schemes often tumble. Don’t delay, set up a plan, and keep your goals in sight, and your time management schemes will work accordingly. If you follow instructions then you will not ask where the time has gone. Instead, you will say, “life is good!”

Managing Time in a Fast Paced World

Managing time in a high-paced world is never easy, but when we have the right tools, it certainly is obtainable. If stress is getting you down, you are not alone. Many people today are suffering stress as a result of the fast pace. Although stress is an obviously problem, it does not have to be. We can manage our stress levels by focusing on time management. We can enjoy a busy schedule while finding time to relax. Stressors are leading causes to stress and include changes in an environment, family, business, et cetera. Dealing with everyday struggles, can cause stress if we are buying a new home, preparing for marriage, or changing careers. Some of us have to deal with multiple stressors at the same time, and it makes our life more difficult to handle. Multitasking between the struggles is never easy, so relaxing seems to be a thing of the past.

Many of us are overwhelmed by the constant changes in technology, which includes computers, phones, fax, E-mails, cell phones, and other devices. How can we ever get ahead of the game if someone is always changing the plans?
Stress is the leading cause of heart attacks, high-blood pressure, stomach tension, tightened muscles, and other health related pains and aches. Our hormones when pushed beyond the limits often respond in a negative light. Managing time is essential for dealing with stress. If you work, attend classes, and go home to a family every night, you understand that time is vital to maintain. Work is part of an everyday life, and most of us get up early in the morning and head out the door. Some of us skip breakfast, exercise and other healthful tasks, not realizing that this is part of managing time. If you are taking care of your body, your body will take care of you. Life doesn’t have to be hard; rather it can be a trial and error in soothing lights. Time management starts with a plan. If you have plans you know that goals often following the plan. Once we set a plan in motion, we must act on it accordingly and sufficiently to make the plan work and reduce our stress level. After we have a plan in motion focusing on our goals, we must find an organizing scheme that works best for our person. Some of us make lists, which are very helpful for putting a plan in motion. Lists are common tasks that we are required to obtain. Getting the most important tasks completed first is part of a time management plan that works most effectively. Once we move the bigger tasks out of the way, we find more time after the little tasks are finished. Changes are going to happen, and the world is constantly moving, so managing our time is the solution for reducing stress and obtaining goals. Managing time and stress in a fast-paced world is never easy, but the right tools sure can make the load lighter.

Personalities and Time Management

The marketplace is swarming with topics on time management and few include personality types, which amazes me, since our personalities play a large role in time management. For example, we have disabilities, spontaneous, and so-called normal individuals, so how can one article tell us how to manage our time? Extensively I studied human behaviors and learned that all of us are different in more ways than science or researchers can explain. None of us has all the answers, but some of us can lead you on a path to time management if the right words fall into place. In addition, if we have an idea of what type of person we are, then we are well on our way to finding the solution for managing time. Time is complicated, since the bible shows us that one day to God is a thousand years. Moreover, man has his own ideas of time. So therefore, when time is used, we must ask ourselves, “Is it used wisely.” We can start by looking at our personality to determine which plan works better for us in managing time.

Personalities:

From beginning of time we all were created with our own personality type, and some of us went astray with the misguidance of researchers, experts, and so on. The basic rules were laid out however, when experts, philosophers and researchers set out to determine what types of persons make up the world. Taking for example the spontaneous personality type, we can see it differs from the neatly type. The spontaneous types often are unorganized, and fail to plan. Spontaneous individuals have an advantage since the focus on one day at a time vs. living each day on a schedule. The disadvantage is that the spontaneous individuals suffer throughout their life, since a time management plan is not in view. In order to cultivate a neatly individual, you would need to work with the personality type, by allowing them to act as themselves, but manipulating a neatly view in the plan. Spontaneous individuals require the need to be free and loose. So therefore there desks are most likely going to be free and loose: papers flying everywhere. To put a spontaneous individual in order, is allowing the person to work multi-tasking projects, which often benefit these types the best. If the person is multi-tasking, he or she is putting time management in focus. Still, the focus is there, but the plans are not in action, so therefore it pays to stay focus of your own individuality to find out what works best for your personality type. There is no single plan for these types of individuals that work the best. The neatly types have very little problem in time management, yet they have problems in other areas. Some of us may see them as perfectionist, but in fact, the neatly types are compensating. Regardless each personality type has its own individuality and learning your personality is the open door to a successful time management plan.

Techniques in Time Management

There are a number of techniques in managing times, but for the most part time management has basic rules. Communication, social skills, empathy, open minded, thoughts, feedback, and other elements key in to time management schemes. In order to reach a level of communication that produces results we must listen to what is said to us, hear what the person is saying, and come to a degree of understanding. Often when people communicate, the messages they are sending are off balance, since communication is distorted in many cases. When you are hearing what the person is telling you and listening for the hidden messages, this is when you will find the solution. Effectual communication does not mean to listen and hear what others are saying however, it also means you must listen to your self, hear what you are saying to find the hidden messages in communication. This puts understanding communication in order. If you are communicating business, it is important that you get the message across accurately. Most communication is based on assumptions, opinions, ideas, theories, guesses and so on. Rarely does anyone communicate the knowledge and experience since most people are confused by constant changes in theories, guesses and so on. This means that communication is flawed often, so the trick is role playing, researching, and finding your own answers, as well as listening to others. Understanding is grasping the meaning of what is said to you, or what you are saying. Therefore, if we do not understand our communication is also affected.

When we learn proper communication skills and have the ability to understand we constitute social skills that will show to others. This is the process of putting time management into play, since if we are filled with doubts, lack the ability to communicate, or lack social skills, our time management schemes are affected. Communication also includes keeping an open mind. Shallow minded or stereotypical often cause more trouble for them selves in the long run than they do others around them. Keeping an open mind means, you are willing to listen and hear what others have to say, and you are searching for the hidden messages in their communication. Our thoughts are what contribute to wasted time. When we are investing our time promoting thoughts that are not constructive, then we are wasting valuable time that could lead us to our goals sooner. Our thoughts are what determine how our life will turn out. If we are thinking positive, we often receive positive results and when we are talking people are more willing to listen. Feedback is also a part of time management techniques. Feedback goes hand in hand with effectual communication. Moreover, whether we realize it or not, both positive and negative feedback can bring forth results.

Positive and Negative Feedback

Positive feedback is an incomplete reversion of the affects of a process in action linking to its source or to a previous phase. Feedback works in many ways to help us all find a solution that works toward a targeted goal. Negative feedback tends to stabilize our process of time management. Negative feedback is not always good, but sometimes it brings out points that are missed in positive feedback. This contributes to communication, since communication comes in many forms, and often information is missed due to the person (s) negligence in understanding effectual communication. After carefully consider communication, feedback, thoughts, open minds, we now must find out how empathy plays an essential role in managing time and effectual communication.

Empathy

Since empathy understands peoples’ feelings, thoughts, experiences, it is a form of communication. When we take the time to understand what other people are saying to us, most people will respond positively. This is also an important element for social skills. Many people misconstrue empathy for sympathy, which is a simply the ability to think or share feelings alike. We do not always agree on everything, so we need to learn how to empathize with others so that our time management schemes works. As you can see, our techniques in time management include cultivating a winning personality that includes effectual communication, understanding, ability to listen, and having empathy for others.

Robbed of Time, Time to Manage

If you are robbed of time, it simply means that it is time to learn management skills to get ahead. Most likely your plans are off balance, your goals are not centered, and your organizing skills are outdated. If you are pressing for time, it is time to set yourself some goals that work, and work to enforce the goals, by staying organized and up-to-date. The basic guidelines for planning is to take a look at your long term and short term goals and decided which strategies can help you to achieve these goals. Your next step is working to accomplish your goals by applying action and putting it in full force.

Looking at the broad outlook on the goals can help make a difference in your time management scheme. What is it you want to accomplish? If you want to start your own business in the next couple of years, then you know you have to set back cash to obtain this goal as well as maintaining a stable credit rating. You also will need to evaluate the marketplace to determine which businesses are more profitable and can benefit your future. You will need to decide if you need additional skills, education, or brush ups to start the type of business you start up. Once you get all your priorities in order, the next step is putting the plan into action. In addition, if you plan to start a business, then you will also need to practice organization skills and learn more about managing your time, since starting a business is never easy.

Organizing

To start organizing, you should evaluate again your situation, and learn your own habits. When you go to work, do you complete a task before you move onto another task? Or do you simply put one task off and then work your way through a series of tasks? If your habit is to put off tasks, then you can start your organizing strategy by handling the primary tasks first and then move onto the smaller tasks. Is your desk chaotic? Do you come to work searching your desk looking for that important document you should have turned in yesterday? If this is true of you, you are robbing your self of time, and time management is out in left field. You can start by cleaning up your desk, sorting through the papers, tossing the outdates, and storing the important papers in a filing cabinet. Once you are finished you motivation will increase, your self-esteem will improve, and the excuses you make everyday will move on to the next person that is robbed of time. When you are at work, do you fail to communicate with your co-workers, or boss? IF so, then you need to cultivate a communication skill that works effectively and efficiently, and eliminating confusion, which takes up a lot of time. Finally, what do you do when you are not working? Are you lying around on the couch watching television?
